Bar/Bat Mitzvah Seating Questions
How do I separate maternal and paternal family sides?
Tag each guest as maternal or paternal family during import. The visual layout lets you clearly see both sides and ensure grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins are seated respectfully on their respective sides.
Where should I seat grandparents and honored guests?
Position grandparents at premium tables near the bimah or head table with clear sight lines to the celebration. Reserve tables closest to the family for great-grandparents, rabbis, and other honored guests.
How should I organize the teen and kids tables?
Create separate teen tables (13-17) and kids tables (under 13) grouped by friend circles. Position teen tables near the dance floor for energy, but within parent sight lines. Kids tables work best near bathrooms and away from speakers.
Can I include Hebrew names on the seating chart?
Yes! Add Hebrew names in guest notes during import. When you export PDFs for place cards or programs, you can include both English and Hebrew names to honor tradition.
What if we have last-minute RSVPs or cancellations?
Add or remove guests with one click up until the day of the event. Drag them to tables with available seats. If you've shared a live link with your caterer or event coordinator, they see changes instantly.
